OUR VISION

 

The ICE vision is to continually promote the sport of volleyball and personal excellence for each athlete and a life long love of the game.

ICE Volleyball Club strives to provide our athletes with the physical, technical and tactical tools to compete to the best of their ability and to reach their highest potential. Our professional coaching staff provide age-appropriate training in a fun, safe and competitive environment. ICE Volleyball Club is a member of the USA Volleyball Association and all of our club teams are registered with the Great Lakes region of USAV.

Our coaches focus in on the small detail while teaching the large picture of the game. At ICE we want to make each athlete a contender at what ever level they hope to attain. ICE coaches are passionate about working with young athletes, and committed to developing a life-long love of volleyball in each and every player.

Jennifer

Jennifer started playing volleyball when she was 10 years old. She continued to play through HS at St. Francis DeSales, 2 of those years on varsity as an outside hitter. 3 years of collegiate playing experience and participated in various adult volleyball leagues. Jennifer has 15 years of coaching expertise at club, high school and middle school levels. Experience as an Athletic Director, a volleyball coordinator and a board member of the DPL Volleyball Association for 9 years. IMPACT Certified, IHSA Certified Coach, IHSA Volleyball Official, ASEP Certified, Positive Coaching Alliance member. Jennifer has a strong desire and aptitude to promote the game of volleyball. She uses encouragement and positive reinforcement as a primary method of motivation. She has in-depth knowledge of volleyball program rules, strategies and individual/team skills.  

Isaias
Tom

Tom started playing volleyball in 7th grade. He continued to play at West Chicago Community HS for 4 years as a Libero. Captain of his team and voted All-Conference his senior year. Tom played club volleyball for two years. He is a former ICE Volleyball Club player winning a silver medal at the Asics JR National Volleyball Championships and placing 3rd in the Gold Club division at the Molten Wisconsin Volleyball Festival. His passing skills are second to none. 4 years of coaching experience. IMPACT certified. Tom will work on the long term development of athletes in their technique, tactics and mental approach. That will eventually lead to the satisfaction in learning new skills or enhance existing skills and how to apply it in competitive situations.

Brandy
Travis

Travis started playing volleyball in 8th grade and continued to play for 4 years at West Chicago Community HS, 3 of those years on varsity as an outside hitter. Captain of his team and voted All-Conference his senior year. Travis played club volleyball for three years. He is a former ICE Volleyball Club player winning a silver medal at the Asics JR National Volleyball Championships and placing 3rd in the Gold Club division at the Molten Wisconsin Volleyball Festival. 4 years coaching experience. IMPACT certified. Travis will introduce the sport of volleyball to athletes as a lifetime endeavor and an opportunity to develop self-esteem and sportsmanship by learning individual and team skills.

Ian
Michael

Michael started playing volleyball in 5th grade. He continued to play volleyball at West Chicago HS for 4 years as the starting setter. He achieved the All-Conference award his senior year.  Michael played club volleyball for 6 years. He is a former ICE Volleyball Club player winning a silver medal the Asics Junior National Volleyball Championships and placing 3rd in the Gold Club division at the Molten Wisconsin Volleyball Festival. He also won a bronze medal at the Boys Winter Volleyball Championships. 2 years of coaching experience. IMPACT Certified. Michael will motivate the players to do their best, put forth 100 percent effort and get them to the next level by setting individual and team goals. 

Joey

Isaias started playing volleyball in 7th grade. He continued to play volleyball at West Chicago HS for 4 years as a libero. He is a former ICE Volleyball Club player of 3 years winning a bronze medal at the Boys Winter Volleyball Championships. 3 years of coaching experience. IMPACT Certified. Isaias looks forward to the opportunity to develop the player's talent and confidence while incorporating a positive environment.

Brandy started playing volleyball in 7th grade on her school team. She continued to play at Wheaton North High School. Brandy played club volleyball for 6 years, starting at 13 years old. IMPACT certified coach. 3 years coaching experience. Brandy will work hard to get the players that sense of accomplishment by learning what motivates them to excel while building character and confidence.  

 Ian began playing volleyball at Wheaton North HS for 4 years. He started as an outside hitter but then moved to middle blocker after his freshman year. Former ICE Volleyball Club player winning a silver medal at the Asics JR National Volleyball Championships and placing 3rd in the Gold Club division at the Molten Wisconsin Volleyball Festival. 5 years of coaching experience. IMPACT Certified. Ian will give athletes the opportunity to develop their skill level in a structured learning and encouraging environment that constantly challenges them.

Joe played volleyball at West Chicago HS for 4 years. Joe played club volleyball for 3 years. He is a former ICE Volleyball Club player winning a silver medal (2nd place) at the Asics Junior National Volleyball Championships and placing 3rd in the Gold Club division at the Molten Wisconsin Volleyball Festival. 2 years of coaching experience. IMPACT Certified. Joe will provide a positive experience, teach the athletes sportsmanship and fundamental skills while learning how to build on them to get to the next level. 

Laura
Eddie
Milena

Laura started playing volleyball in 8th grade on her middle school team. She continued to play at West Chicago High School. Laura is a former ICE Volleyball Club player.   She played as a middle blocker. IMPACT certified coach. 1 year coaching experience. Laura is looking forward to instill enthusiasm, effort and the aspect of fun while challenging the athletes to become successful.

Eddie started playing volleyball when he was 13, having experience playing as outside, setter, and libero all the way through high school at West Chicago Community. He has played for 2 years throughout college and is constantly competing in adult leagues to this day. Eddie has 3 years coaching experience, coaching both middle school and club teams. His goal is to bring out the best from his players and to help them further progress their skills in volleyball.

Milena started playing volleyball in 7th grade. She continued to play at Willowbrook HS for 4 years as a middle blocker. She won the blocking award  freshman and sophomore year and achieved the all conference award her senior year. Milena is a former ICE Volleyball Club player who recorded the highest number of blocks in a season.
